Tips and tricks

A few ideas that make What Changed? easier and more fun:

  • Scan the pictures in the same order every time, for example left to right, then top to bottom.
  • Build tiny stories: “a rocket above a doughnut”. Stories stick better than single pictures.
  • There is no timer, so take the study phase slowly. A relaxed look beats a rushed one.
About What Changed?

Play What Changed? online

This belongs to the “what changed?” family of observation games played with pictures or objects on a table. Here one picture is replaced, and moving the cards makes position alone an unreliable clue.

Why it works

You compare a remembered set of pictures with a new set. The task uses visual attention, recognition and short-term retention rather than speed alone.

These are the skills used during play; improvement outside the game is not established.
