Pattern Recall
A pattern of squares lights up briefly. Remember it, then tap the squares that were lit. Each round adds one more.
Watch the lit squares, then tap each one from memory. A wrong square ends the round and shows the pattern. You play five rounds with more squares each time. Easy is a 3×3 grid, Standard 4×4 and Hard 5×5.
How to play
- Watch the squares that light up.
- Tap each lit square from memory.
- Complete five rounds, each with one more square.
Tips and tricks
A few ideas that make Pattern Recall easier and more fun:
- Look for shapes. A line, an L or a corner is easier to remember than separate squares.
- Count the lit squares first, so you know when you are done.
- Remember positions on the grid, such as “top row, middle, bottom right”.
About Pattern Recall
Play Pattern Recall online
Pattern games are a common way to practise short-term visual memory. This version has five rounds, each with a slightly larger pattern.
Why it works
You hold a spatial layout in mind and recall it after it disappears. The task uses visual working memory and attention.
These are the skills used during play; improvement outside the game is not established.
