Nonogram

The numbers beside each row and column say how many filled squares sit together. Use them to fill the grid and reveal the picture.

Each number is a run of filled squares in that row or column, in order, with at least one empty square between runs. Tap squares to fill them, and use the Mark tool for squares you know are empty. A clue turns green when its line matches. Solve every line to finish. Easy is 5×5, Standard 7×7 and Hard 10×10.

How to play
  1. Read the numbers: they are runs of filled squares.
  2. Tap to fill, or switch to Mark for squares that stay empty.
  3. When every clue is green, the puzzle is solved.
Tips and tricks

A few ideas that make Nonogram easier and more fun:

  • Start with the biggest numbers. A long run in a short line overlaps itself.
  • Mark squares you know are empty so you do not forget them.
  • Switch between rows and columns. Each filled square helps both.

Nonograms, also known as picross, are picture-logic puzzles. Here the picture is a simple pattern, and any grid that satisfies every clue counts as solved.

Why it works

You combine clues from rows and columns and deduce squares with certainty. The task uses logical deduction and careful attention.

These are the skills used during play; improvement outside the game is not established.
